The Leevi Madetoja Fund
The Leevi Madetoja Fund is owned by Suomen Säveltäjät ry (The Society of Finnish Composers). The Fund maintains the madetoja.org site, owns an apartment on Runeberginkatu, and awards grants for publishing Leevi Madetoja’s works. The Fund also supports the work of the Madetoja Foundation. The Leevi Madetoja Fund has supported for example these projects:
- Sasha Mäkilä and Jani Kyllönen: A Critical Edition of Madetoja’s 1. Symphony (not finished)
- Heikki Poroila: Pohjalainen rapsodia. Leevi Madetojan sävellysten temaattis-bibliografinen teosluettelo (Honkakirja, lokakuu 2024)
- Special Prizes for Leevi Madetoja Male Choir Competition (2021)
- YL Male Voice Choir: Works for a cappella Male Choir (2020)
